 In May 2025, my wife and our cats, Bob and Ted, moved from the banks of the Columbia River to the banks of the Banana River lagoon in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Cindy is from Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA, and has family there as well as in Florida. It was time to downsize out of our big Astoria home so why not go ahead and make a big change. Cindy, Bob, and Ted love it, and eventually I'll get used to the sunlight and warm (not to say HOT) weather.
From now on I'll be writing on Substack -- Joshua Marquis. Follow me there, if you will. It's a free subscription.
